A New Chapter in Artistic Leadership

Dr. Martin Glicklich Appointed Executive & Artistic Director of The Music Guild

Los Angeles — August 19, 2025

The Music Guild is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Martin Glicklich as its new Executive and Artistic Director, only the fourth person to serve in this role in the organization’s 81-year history.

He follows the exceptional leadership of Mr. Eugene Golden, whose decades of service helped shape The Music Guild into one of Southern California’s most respected chamber music organizations.

With a career that spans performance, education, and arts administration, Dr. Glicklich brings a dynamic and holistic vision to The Music Guild's next chapter—one that will honor its distinguished legacy while expanding its reach and impact in the community.

Sunday Afternoon Series Programs

Sunday afternoon concerts began with the new century.

The Music Guild Goes to Schools

The Music Guild has made hundreds of presentations in elementary schools and masterclasses in colleges.

The Music Guild wants to reach young students before they are told by companions that they would not like classical music.

In our presentations, the same artists who perform on our concert series play classical compositions, explain the stories behind the music, and interact one-on-one, showing the children their instruments, how they wor,k and even have hands-on demonstrations.
